3 journalers for this copy...
Members of BCinDC picked this up at The Book Thing of Baltimore, Inc.
BookCrossing books are more interesting as they get more journal entries and I often pick up additional copies of books that I know I have read before so that I can journal the books and then release them.
I previously read a different copy of this book and these were my comments at that time:
A drunken mother is most of Star's problem and she is forced to grow up way too fast so that she can take care of her younger brother. Star is the only one that is not wealthy in the group and there is a large chip on her shoulder as she deals with poverty. I don't find her story to be one that is all that unusual in the world today.
