I was walking to meet a friend at O' Connells Irish Restaurant in Old Town, Alexandria for lunch, and saw this book sitting on a bench. I picked it up and started reading it while waiting for her (out of curiousity!) I was amazed to learn about Book Crossing, and thought it was a marvelous idea! I am the Director of a Tutoring Center in Fairfax, Virginia, and think this is a very special program. I read the book with one of my first grade students tonight, and he got very into it--loved hearing about the monsters! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am giving this book to the student, and he promises me he will pass it on! Thank you for sharing!

From the words of my first grade student who I am giving this book to (here at the Tutoring Center):
"This book reminds me of my grandpa. My dad told me a story about my grandpa when he felt like he was in the wild. He was having fun and he missed dinner, and he pretended he was in the wild, and it actually happened to him." The student also said "I liked this book because it was fun and silly. I have a lot of fun with books." When I asked him who he is going to give the book to, he said "to my teacher!" He also said he wants to read it to his parents and let his brother pass it on. We'll see who winds up with the book eventually! "Thank you very much for being the best giver of these books!"--says my student!"
