The Hand That First Held Mine

This book tells the story of Lexie and Innes in 1960s London and Ted and Elina in the present day, and leaves it quite late to explain the connection between the two. Although this is a good read I didn't feel it was quite up to the standard of previous books by the same author. The present-day story was frustratingly slow in places. But still worth reading.

Arrived this morning, thank you so much ozone-nut for sending it. I've heard good things about it, so I'm looking forwards to reading it.
I really enjoyed this book, I thought it captured the feel of London in the different decades covered. The characters were good, quite sympathetic & I liked the way the story lets us know all about them before revealing the link.
Thank you for sending ozone-nut.
