Eh. I didn't dislike the book. It's a good read for someone looking for an easy-to-digest espionage thriller. Written in 1984 and pretty darn dated, in reference to technology and world politics. (Gosh, I'd almost forgotten that Russia was once the BAD guy.) The action is a little slow by modern "thriller" standards, despite global travel and exploding bombs and Soviet defectors and murders. And there's a really hokey "fall in love at first sight and plan to get married by the end of the book which is only a week later, after all" love story. That said, it's a decent read with some original plot points (unusual for a modern spy thriller) and a couple of little twists.
