From the back cover:
Anne Davis has returned to the house where she grew up, trading her glamorous Manhattan lifestyle for a harsh winter on a wind-whipped New England island. Her marriage has crumbled in the wake of a tragic accident. Now she has returned to the home on Salt Whistle Road that has always meant shelter, security, family and love. When she awakens one snowy night to a fire that roars through the old house, Anne escapes - but runs back into the blaze to save something so precious that it's worth risking her life for. It is that reckless act of blind desperation that sets a miracle in motion...

I just got this bookbox in the mail the other day and I am going to do something a little unusual. I am going to make a journal entry on each book in the box.
I mean no harm to anyone and I do not mean to offend. However, I can see both sides of the coin on this practice. I realize that not everyone will choose to do this but I am OK with that too. Maybe someone else will choose to do this and the journal entries will be all that much more fun.
The primary reason that I want to journal all of the books is so that their journey gets properly recorded. If one of these books is not selected until the fourth or fifth person on the list how will someone ever know that this book has traveled all the way to Germany and beyond. Some of these books will get a lot of mileage before someone decides to keep them.
Another reason that I want to journal them is because in passing through my hands they deserve to show up on my shelf. I may not have selected a book but I think it would be neat to hear from the person that does eventually select it. And without writing down the BCID and manually looking up the book I would never have any idea what the fate of the book is. Since I have made an entry on this book, I will get a journal entry notice when someone does select it. Now how cool is that?
C
I started reading this book but it is not holding my interest so I am going to put it back in the box for someone else. I think that it is an OK story and all it just was not moving fast enough and I just cannot relate to the characters the way that it is written.
I am sure that someone else will choose it and give it rave reviews.
