Almost as good as bookcrossing, finding this one at the lady's room of The Black Swan, a pub in Notting Hill, London. I suspect the former owner wanted to pass it on, since the train ticket (York - London) that was used as a bookmark was stuck at the last page.
Gratefully I started reading and now it is time to pass it on. A gothic adventure, a medieval quest for the Perfect Book, with no beginning or end, goes from Venice to China and from London to Alexandria.
I gave it to a close friend, close by. See how she likes it.
