Me: Stories of My Life
2 journalers for this copy...
Katharine Hepburn's memoirs, that I guess she wanted printed during her lifetime. Since it appears she made other plans for after her lifetime.
This wasn't too bad. I didn't really think it measured up to the hype though.

I've read a few reviews on this book, and so far, none of them agree with the way I feel about it, but too bad. I'm not finished with the book, and I'm not sure I will. While I'm sure that Katharine Hepburn is a fascinating woman with tons of interesting experiences, I don't think she did very much reading herself. The writing style she uses is almost incomprehensible, which really gets in the way of the my enjoyment of what she has to say. It is fragmentary, obnoxiously stream-of-conscious, and just all over the place. There's a great amount of arrogance (perhaps earned, perhaps not) in her writing, and a total disregard for the reader. On the plus side, I am almost completely sure she didn't use a ghost-writer. On the down side, maybe she should have.
