The Good Sister

IN MY TBR PILE. From inside jacket flap:
Jennifer and Catherine -- sisters who have inherited equal shares in their family’s enormous fortune and worldwide communications empire -- could not be more different. While Catherine is an extraordinary beauty whose looks attract the most handsome and powerful men, her sister is a plain-Jane, no-nonsense woman who prefers running the company to walking the red carpet. After the success of their latest project promises to revolutionize Hollywood, Padraig O’Connell, a major film star with enough Irish charm and celebrity cachet to make the move to power producer, lures the wealthy sisters into the film industry -- and comes between them in the process. As the sisters globe-trot between exotic film sets and high-powered corporate boardrooms, their jealousies flare and old hostilities erupt anew. But the tension turns deadly after Catherine and Jennifer are nearly killed in separate incidents. Suddenly neither sister can trust the other in a game that has their love, wealth, and even their lives hanging in the balance. As accusations fly and alliances form, it’s impossible to determine which sister wants the other dead -- until the innocent one finds herself trapped aboard a boat, alone with the killer in an unforgettable finale.

Since my TBR pile is so huge, I’ve decided to take some of the books that are languishing there and offer them as book rings so that others may enjoy them before they come back to me! So The Good Sister is now a book ring! Note that this is a hardback book, and weighs 1 lb 4.3 oz.
The Good Sister is shipping to the first participant today! There are four participants, and I will leave the ring open in case anybody wants to join later and be added to the end. Here is the order:
Indymomto2
ToXiCKiTTiKiSS
Mysterylady36
PhotoGirl04
Princessaurora
Eriko1908

Enjoy everyone!

Recv'd in the the mail March 20, 2004. I am currently reading it and will PM the next in line when done.
I finished reading this book over the weekend. I found it difficult to stick with. I did not particularly like any of the characters, and it was hare to care what was happening to them. I did continue reading so that I could find out "who did it" and I still didn't care one way or the other.
I have PM'd ToXiCKiTTinKiSS for her address and will pass it along

Thanks for sending me this. I cannot wait to read it.
I've had this book for a while [sorry!] and I just couldn't get into it. I have other books to read and this one wasn't keeping me interested. Maybe later on I can read it again but at the moment I don't feel like having it for any longer because I have had it long enough. So this book will go to the next person when I recieve their address.
This arrived safely in the mail on Friday. I am currently in the middle of another bookring book and then this one is next. Thanks!
I really enjoyed this book. It was a little confusing to figure out who the narrator was, but that seemed to be on purpose to keep you guessing. It held my interest and even though I figured out which was the good sister, I wasn't really confident in my guess until the very end. I definitely had to keep reading to see if I was right.
Sent to the next in the ring. Enjoy!
This was an interesting read --- many thanks to Casseytara for starting the ring!
The story, while somewhat predictable, was a good read. It was fun to pick out who was the "good" sister, and who the psychotic was. The writing style is especially intriguing, as the chapters shift between the sisters constantly, so you are trying to keep up with who's doing what and remembering what things.
This is heading out to the next person on the list - PrincessAurora, look for it in your mailbox soon!

Received in the mail this weekend. I have a couple of other bookrings ahead of this one, but will start ASAP.
On its way to Eriko1908. Sorry about the delay!
This one arrived this morning...YEA!! I have 4 chapters in Christopher Moore's The Stupidest Angel to finish - then on to this one...thanks for sharing casseytara!! :O)
Finished this one late last night (try 4:30 AM)...I really enjoyed it!! I did NOT like the narrator at all...I mean to hate your sister so much that you wanted to kill her?? Not what I like to hear!! I agree with mysterlady36, in that I thought I had it all figured out who the good sister was (or rather who the bad person was) about 1/2 way through, but I could not be sure...there is just enough left to keep you guessing until the end...I did have to read the final paragraph of the book a couple of times to understand exactly what was meant by it...but by about round 3 I did finally get it...I mean c'mon - it was 4:30 in the morning for pete's sake!!
This one will be off to tnelson99 on Monday morning...I hope everybody else enjoys!! Thanks for sharing casseytara!! :O)

Received in the mail yesterday. I will begin reading it as soon as I'm done with the one I'm reading now.
Great book! Really kept my interest and once I got to the second chapter, I finished it very quickly. I am mailing it out to the next person in line tonight. Enjoy!
Received in the post today along with 4 other bookrings.
7/05 Just finished this one at the pool today. I did not have it figured out at all kept bouncing back and forth between the two people. Mailing out the pheeyla on Monday 7/18/05.
Thank you Aramena for starting this bookring and for being so kind with your timeframe.

This arrived back to me safe and sound today! Thanks to everyone who participated in the ring for helping to make it a success. After reading the journal entries I can't wait to get into the book myself, but I have rings to read first! So back into my TBR pile it goes.
I finally read this book myself! I just read back through all the journal entries, and some of the ring participants said they couldn't stay interested in it while others really enjoyed it. I'm more with the first group. As one participant said, I didn't particularly like any of the characters. I, too, was pretty sure I had figured out who the bad sister was, but was not positive until the last chapter. I wanted to read this book because Kelly Rippa used it in her book club one summer on Live With Regis and Kelly and she recommended it, but quite frankly, if the same story had been written by Sandra Brown, the book probably would have been much much better.
This is now on it's way to Megan2112!
Had it for a week forgot to journal it. How dumb am I? Will read it as soon as I can
