The Eagles Brood

This book pops up in Science Fiction and Fantasy, but that's not how I'd label it. It's one of a series (beginning with Whyte's The Skystone) that retells the Arthurian legend.
I liked this series because it was the first I've read that focused on the Roman possession of Britain at the time. I don't think it's based on historical fact, but it does have a more authentic feel than some of the other Arthurian books I've read (like The Once and Future King and Mary Stewart's books). Don't get me wrong, I like almost any tale about Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot and the rest, but I liked the slant this author chose to tell the tale.
This is the third book in the series.

Left on the coffee table by the couches.
I found this sitting on a table in my favorite coffee shop. I felt a little guilty slipping it into my backpack- kinda like I was stealing- but I was glad to have it that evening when I was the first to finish my exam and needed to kill an hour. I haven't quite finished yet, but so far, so good. I'll set it free as soon as I'm done.
