The Day We Met

On her 35th birthday, Maggy O'Brien finds out from her daughter Nicole that her ex-husband Charles is getting married. Maggy and Charles didn't have a bitter divorce, and she is genuinely happy for him. But her heart feels a little empty when she has yet to find the soul mate she is looking for. To cheer her up, her younger sisters Ellie and Claire treat her to a trip to Atlantic City. There she meets cop Conor Riley. He's immediately attracted to her, but he too has wounds from the past that have yet to heal. Still, they seem to connect in every way, and embark on a powerful love affair. But when they return home, other things intervene, like family and friends and their nosy opinions. And Maggy and Conor will soon see if what they have will go beyond the day they met. Another winner from Barbara Bretton.
