downfall. i liked the others much better.
the story is long and unsubstantial, the characters aren't very convincing and the would-be hannibal lector does not frighten anyone. except it did annoy me enough to almost drop the book , unread. i resisted heroically to the (merciful) end of it, when ,out of nowhere, along came richard and saved the day just by being kind-hearted to his sister. come on, this from the man who killed people for looking the wrong way to kahlan?!
i hope the next will prove better.
