The Rape of Nanking
3 journalers for this copy...
Incredibly harrowing - almost unreadable at times - story of the 1937 take over of Nanking (China) by the Japanese. Beautifully reserached and written but not for the faint hearted.
It was mailed to me by Girltiger...Thank you very much Girltiger for the RAOBCK. I plan on reading and releasing.

I'm reveiwing this book from the shelf of my husband, Flyinfox.
If all of what's written in these pages is true -- in fact, if even some of what's here is true -- well, my God, it's just so disturbing.
I don't know why I read this, really, I hate war and brutality, and find most history books pretty dry. But this book had an engaging style, so that unlike most history books I pick up, I was actually able to finish this one. Some of the stories of
what the soldiers did to the women will haunt me for a long time...
Good book, but it's not for the faint of heart.
