The very first Dean Koontz book I read, this one led me to all the others. A great starter for the Dean Koontz novice, this book explores the human (specifically adolescent) psyche as opposed to anything supernatural. Seeing the world through Colin'e eyes is a fantastic point of view for this story - we ultimately understand the anguish and confusion a typical teenage boy goes through when faced with any type of peer pressure. Although, Roy's brand is a little stronger than most.
