Was given to me for BC. I think I will try it before release.

2011-02-26: This is the story of the sisters Celie and Nettie, timeline wise set between the two world wars, all told in prayers and letters. Its a story of abuse, loss, love, friendship and hope - and growing up, no matter what age you are.
It took me a while to get used to the style, but after that a very good read.

While drinking a glass of wine in the "Marie" after a nice show in the Lanxess-Arena I found this book on the shelf and couldn´t resist... Thanks, Nachtgeier!

I really enjoyed re-reading this classic; I'd forgotten just how much this classic got under my skin the first time around! Now it can travel on to Sweden on a Wishlist promise - enjoy!

Sorry! I thought I had already journalled it. Arrived in Sweden a few days ago. So surprised to see it was so thin! Perhaps because there was an Oprah-movie based on it I expected it to be about 800 pages! ;-) Thank you very much!
