This little book contains six short stories:- An Occurence at Owl Bridge
- Beyond the Wall
- An Adventure at Brownville
- The Damned Thing
- One of the Missing
- The Stranger
These are very good examples this author's writing, subtle, sometimes creepy but mostly stories where every word counts. I'm a fan of the American authors of the 19th century so these stories were right up my alley. Still, I liked some more than others. An Occurence at Owl Bridge, The Damned Thing and One of the Missing were my favourites but that is not to say the others aren't good too, their just not as good...
A perfect little book for a slow afternoon.
