TBR. Will probably stay at my PC after finishing.
I started reading this last night and finished it today. Oh, how I love warm and light summer nights and days with books at hand. Enjoyed this book a lot - though at times the cycling part sort of disappeared into the history storytelling and I was slightly disappointed with the somewhat "easy" ending.
I would have liked to read some summary for the trip. How many kilos weighted the bags she carried, what kind of belongings she carried, what of those was totally unnecessary and what turned out to be beyond worth of gold. How many broken tires, did she had short or long pants/shirt sleeves. How many degrees the weather temperature. Ok, I understand this was meant to be enjoyable travel book, not a guide- or handbook of the exact trip. Enjoyable travel book it was. Few fotos added and it would have been even better.
Of course I grew hungry while reading the book. Hungry for different kind of tapas and most of all hungry for cycling trip, how about Huittinen-Pori-Tampere-Jämsä sort of trip during my summer vacation? Oh well, one can always daydream...
