Wow! It was a great day to "go hunting"! This book was on my wish list, and released right across the street from my office! This is the first wild release I've caught.

I read the Lord of the Rings as a pre-teen, and have been meaning to get back to them since the first movie came out. Thanks, spadillarose, for giving me the opportunity to revisit a much loved book!

I'm putting this in my TBR pile, and will release it when I'm done.

I guess its been about 15 years since I last read this book. There was so much detail in here that I had forgotten. I couldn't help comparing the book to the movie, since my memory of the book itself is so faded. When I saw the movie, I left feeling like it had been an accurate telling of the story. While reading the book, I was surprised by how many details were changed for the movie. However, the movie stayed true to the spirit of the story, IMO.

I'm glad I got this opportunity to revisit this book. The story has a very different feel to it now that I'm older. This really is a terrific story, with great characters and a truly epic story. I can't wait to revisit the other two books in the series!

I'm going to be visiting my parents next week, and I'll release this book somewhere along the way. I hope the next reader enjoys it as much as I did.

Released on Monday, August 25, 2003 at Welcome Center on U.S. Rte. 15, southbound in Tioga, Pennsylvania USA.

Left the book in one of the wooden rocking chairs near the information center, at aprox. 11 am.
