Yes - I was stalking your books again ;-) and I was sooooo happy to actually catch the one I was after. I quite like Connie Willis and haven't read this one yet. Thank you, ZaraGaia!
I have been hoarding this book for quite a while. I completly enjoy Connie Willis! I have read the stories in bits and bites and read the last one a while back, but forgot to journal. The spin that Connie Willis puts on dystopian fiction is fascinating......if you read only one story in this collection let it be "The Last of the Winnebagos".
Since I have found a copy of this at a used book shop for my PC, I am going to take this to find a new reader, finally.......

I am taking this book to the Bookcrossing meeting at the Joshua Tree Cafe to find a new reader.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Picked up at the June meetup.

Grabbed at get together
This was a truly delightful read. Although not all the stories were my cup of tea, I enjoyed most of them and a number of them had me laughing out loud. Ado was probably my favoirte - I was reading it while watching a rather disappointing hockey game with my father. He eventually had to ask me what I was reading since it kept making me laugh outloud. I truly hope to never see a society like that one there. A recurring theme the author seems to be fond of in these stories was ridiculous (usually secondary/minor) characters with no common sense.
Also, my favorite line is from one of the intros by the author: "... you're only dead until the sequel."
Thanks for the fun read!

Took to get together.
Picked this up at the October Meeting.
OK - this took me a long time to get to (something about me and short story books) and once again I quite enjoyed it! From Winnebagos through to quantum theory - and lots of interesting bits in between including the problems of how to teach Shakespeare when there is rampant restraining orders.
This book is ready to head off to the Christmas meet up at Cravings.
This book was passed to me by Fracula when we met for coffee today.

Picked up at the Calgary meet up. We had 12 BookCrossers (including one newbie, awesome!). I once again came home with way too many books including this one... Adding to my very large to be read pile.
Adding this one to the Calgary Book Box. Hopefully it will find a new reader.
This book had my name on it in our Travelling book box, again, I don’t remember putting my name on the list but someone must have sold me on this book. Hmm...eleven short SF stories?! I’m in!
😂😂😂😂I’ve had this book in my hands before and I probably didn’t read it. This is a sign from Karma that I really need to read this.

Sorry, but I need to return some books back to the group at our meetup at Cravings. It has been such a long time since we have gotten together!
So many books and so little time!
