The New York Trilogy:

I forgot to write an entry when I finished it. So now I´ll do it. I enjoyed it a lot. I have spent three weeks in N.Y. a few years ago and reading this book brought me back there in my mind several times. Auster´s fiction takes place in a strange place between reatity and dreams and you never know when it´s reality and when it´s a dream or exactly how the characters are connected or how their mind works or how much Paul Aster they contain.
Great book. It was my first experience with Auster but definitely not the last.

Finally, I get around to reading a Paul Auster. Looking forward to it. Thanks, darling.
Well, it took me quite a while to read this book. Not that I didn't like it, but it just wasn't telling me to read it all the time. I can see why Auster is such a renowned writer and I can also see common traits with Murakami, but at the same time the writing is more literary and thus harder to read. I'd like to read more of Auster's works.
I am glad you liked it, my dear!
