My original copy of this book was loaned out and has not returned, so this is copy #2! I will have to refer back to my previously registered copy for my review and rating of this book, as it was quite a while ago that I read it.

Generation X is about a group of young people in Palm Springs, telling each other stories while they work pointless McJobs, trying to escape from life. I didn't love it - whilst I am a Gen Xer too, I found the characters irritating and unlike anyone I know. I guess Coupland is an aquired taste; his books seem to be raved about by everyone else. Never mind, I'm sure the next person will enjoy it more!
