Picked this up at the Book Thing of Baltimore, MD.

I'm a vegetarian, so this was right up my alley! I plan to read it and release it at a vegetarian restaurant I visit from time to time.

Journal Entry 2 by KateKintail at Burke, Virginia USA on Monday, December 14, 2015
I read this this morning while standing in line to mail packages at the post office. I probably earned a few strange looks from others, but I don't care! This book was adorable.

Herb, a vegetarian dragon, is at odds with the rest of the dragons... who are at odds with the castle/townfolk who the dragons eat. When Herb gets captured and sentenced to beheading, it is of course his vegetarian ways that are most likely to save him. And, in the end, the dragons and people all live in harmony. Awwwww. Lots of warm fuzzies.

This was a fun, cute book. I especially enjoyed the little details in the pictures, like the mice and rabbits and birds helping Herb cook or the knights searching trees and bushes for dragons. There's so much color and expression in the images. And the story itself is fun, as a vegetarian who also likes a happy ending :-)
