3 journalers for this copy...
Bought in a second-hand-shop. The book has lots of underlines and translations to Norwegian. Maybe someone has used in English class in school.
A beautiful love story. I have never read anything old and Greek before and this was lovely written and well worth reading.

Just been to the post-office and mailed this to the Netherlands.
Arrived here safely today (together with Theft). Thank you so much zimort for sending me these books! I like old stories :) Flipped through the book to look at the translations, but I can't make much of it.. maybe when I read the story. I wonder where it has travelled already? (Oh and the Fjord pony (not sure if the name is the same in English as in Dutch?) on the label is adorable.. I'd like to take him home too :p Funny how you can also see it here at the JE's..)
I finished reading this a little while ago, but it seems I forgot to make a journal entry.. oops.. :p
This was a lovely story. It sounds so idyllic, living a simple life in the country side and herding sheeps and goats. Interesting too, this being a story from such a long time ago, as it sort of gives glimpses of how people lived then. Almost made me believe that Pan and the nymphs lived alongside the humans too.
(The book kind of made me think of my art history classes long ago - felt like some of those pastoral landscapes by Claude Lorrain :p)
Thanks again for sharing the book zimort!
(Oh and I could actually understand a lot of the written notes on the side now. Norwegian and Dutch seems quite alike :p)

Journal Entry 7 by bookowl1000 at Sathorn, (Bangkok) Krung Thep Mahanakhon Thailand on Wednesday, June 25, 2014
It has taken me a long time to get around to reading what is actually a quick read...I started it on my flight to Bangkok and had almost finished by the time I got there. This is a story of innocence discovering love and is an enjoyable read; I can see how as mentioned in the introductory notes it has in the past been controversial when recommended to 'delicate' young ladies to read.
