PJ is a punter--a DJ who subs for other DJs--and is perfectly content with her life as a drifter, wandering from one person's couch to the next. Until Jonathan Hadley, a famous DJ-turned-manager, enters her life and offers her a chance to make it big. PJ isn't sure she wants a manager or fame, though she does accept his help. Making it big comes with a lot of conditions: PJ has to put up with model Samantha, who has volunteered to be her stylist in order to get close to Jonathan, and wannabe reporter Leslie, who wants to shadow PJ and get a story that will land her the reporter job she's angling for.
