So they tell stories: disturbingly funny tales that reveal their barricaded inner world. A world populated with dead TV shows, 'Elvis moments' and semi-disposable Swedish furniture.

I bought this while in London because I DO live in the California desert. It's weird to read about a place 30 years before you got there, being so empty and full of nothingness and hardly any people.
