Very touching and delightfully written story. I think I will be reading Barbara Kingsolver's other books!
I work in a major US airport; books left behind are not, as you mention on this site ("where NOT to release"), confiscated by security; we attempt to reunite them with the owner. However, after a certain time period, the books are 'released' to the employees. :) ..which is how this book came to me. Am delighted to find your site, so I can now release it to 'the wild'! :)

Journal Entry 2 by rem_ZOQ-997532 at Madhouse Coffee - Visitacion And Klamath in Brisbane, California USA on Wednesday, July 9, 2003
Released on Wednesday, July 09, 2003 at Madhouse Coffee/jct Visitacion and Klamath in Brisbane, California USA.
I read on this site that the book had been released at Madhouse Coffee in Brisbane, CA so I went there specifically to look for the book, thinking I wouldn't find it since it had been released over a month ago. I was very happy it was still there, I plan on reading it right away.
