A tender tale of a India family as they start their lives in America. I enjoyed learning about an unfamilar culture, but I found the author sometimes wandered away from the main character' mindset.

2019-07-22 Just finished this gem of a book. I had to keep looking up words because I had no idea what some of the things were. As I read I kept feeling like a sad or morose song was in the background. Not many authors can get me to hear background music.
