Picked this one up at a yard sale. Even though it's second-hand, it's a hardcover in good shape. It's an example of how BookCrossing has expanded my horizons. I don't typically read romances--unless it's a romance hidden in a sci fi/fantasy novel! But I'm enjoying this one. I'm about halfway through it and it's a light, fun read. It satisfies my most important requirement--I like the characters. I'll be offering this one up for a bookray. Please PM me if you would like to join this bookray and please say whether you're able to ship internationally.
Blurb from inside the jacket: "Meet the Goodnights, a respectable family who have run a respectable art gallery for generations. There's Gwen, the matriarch, who sedates herself with Double-Crostics and double vodkas; Eve, the oldest daughter, who has a slight identity problem (she has two); and Nadine, the granddaughter, who's ready to follow in the family footsteps as soon as she can find a set that isn't leading off a cliff. Holding everyone together is Matilda, the youngest daughter, who's inherited the secret locked down in the basement of the Goodnight Gallery, a secret that she's willing to do almost anything to keep, including breaking into a house in the dead of night to steal back her past."
Okay, there's actually more blurb than that, but that's all I'm up to typing. And Eve and Matilda are actually much more likable than the blurb makes them sound!

Suddenly realized I never wrote a real entry for this book. : ) I thought it was a nice light read. I enjoyed reading it by the pool while checking out the lifeguard. Next it goes to senorag.
Received this today along with another ray. WOW, nothing then two at once! I wont be a book hog and I promise to read it as fast as I can and get it back out. No longer than a month. Hope that's ok? Thanks for sharing it.
Ok, I thought this was a cute little book, but a bit confusing. Maybe it was just that I was not in the proper frame of mind with all that's going on here. I felt the book just started "talking" without really setting up anything. That's just my opinion. Sending it on to Maurean. Thanks for sharing. It's nice to delve into something we normally wouldn't buy and see how we like it. That's why I love bookcrossing!

Went to my mailbox today...and found this!! Looking forward to reading it, and I will journal again as soon as I do.
Well, I enjoyed this book! typical to Crusie style, she had me laughing frequently (and blushing occasionally!)...The characters were quirky and likable, and the storyline was fast and fun!
Thanks TracyShannon for including me in this one!
Will send this out to JPandJo as soon as I receive her address (hope to have it in the mail by Friday, 9/5)

Yikes! I checked my mail and found many bookray/ring books at once.
I’ll get started on these but it may take a bit, my home improvement project from the last year is coming to a rapid close at the same time.

My husband is such a muffin.
When I saw this book I thought oh no not another chick lit book, I thought I liked chick lit but after a few I really was having difficulty dealing with the insecurities flying everywhere.
This book surprised me, it was not a standard chick lit. I spent half my time laughing, the lines were great.
"Consider us honorary uncles...... with police records"
Passing this along once I get the next person address.

Received it last week -WOW, all the way from across the big ocean!- and I've just started reading. Thanx JPandJo for sending!
And I'm finished! It's not like other chicklit I've read, so, actually, it's not chicklit at all! While I was reading I was continuously thinking: it's a script, it should be a movie! Really, it would make a very nice movie, I would go to the cinema for it! Does anyone know a director looking for a script? ;-)
I'll pass it on as soon as I've got the address.

I've mailed it on to Lynettes70 in the USA. Enjoy reading!

Arrived today, thanks!
To read chick lit I have to be in the right mood, and after reading some school stuff I certainly wasn´t in the mood for finishing Faking It.
But I guess it´s ok. No-one beats Bridget, though.

Received this novel in June with 5 other bookrings/rays. Sorry I did not journal it then.
I found this to be a fast read with interesting characters. I particularly liked that they were all open to sex even the grandmother.
7/19/04 Shyann apologies but she has purchased a copy of this novel. Ariesgirl29 has also obtained copy of this novel. I am now waiting to hear from princessaurora. Will be forwarding as soon as I have her address :-).

This was at the PO this morning along with 4 other books. Will be read ASAP! Thanks, princessaurora!
Whoa!! What's happened to the color of the text on this page?? At any rate, today's the 13 th of Aug....Friday the Thirteenth!! Whoo hoo! :-D I finished this book last night. Actually, this is the first of Crusies books I've actually had a bit of trouble getting through. It's almost like she was trying too hard and it ended up with the female lead not feeling real to me. Or maybe that was the point? The ending was hilarious....and of course, all's well that ends well. Thanks TracyShannon!
I'll be mailing on to Kelwhy as soon as I have an addy. :-)

Going to shpriz1! Enjoy!
Received this book several days ago. I'm more than half way through. Very cute read and quite funny at times. I thought that their theory about doughnuts and muffins was genious.
Well, it was worth a read. This was my first book by this writer and I will certainly keep an eye out for more books by her. I didn't quite like the book towards the end. SPOILER: I mean, how many people can you fit into a closet?? Or does Jennifer Crusie has some sort of obsession with closets since a lot scenes are taking place in the closet???
Anyway, I liked this book. Thank you, TracyShannon for sharing this book and for including me in your ray.

Received this in the mail today. Yea!! Will get to it as soon as I finish the Poirot that I'm devouring at the moment!
If I could rate it higher than 10, I would. What an awesome book! About 15 pages into it, you just love the characters. They're all so funny and endearing. This is one of the best books I've read in a while. And one of the funniest...I mean, just when you think you've got all the characters straight, 3 more walk in. You have to laugh just at that, not to mention the hilarous things they all say. Great read!!!
Mailing this off to NeedSun tomorrow, 10/30.

I found this book a little too silly, but still enjoyable. Some of the characters are good fun if a bit zany. I preferred Welcome to Temptation but I'd still recommend this if someone asked me.
I posted this to Mokona today.

This book has made it through many many bookcrossers only to have gotten lost over a year ago. Where did this book go? Is is still with SueFitz? Did it move on without telling anyone? With vague and missing journal entries it is often hard to tell just what has happened.
While this book sorts out some of the details the Lost Book Island throws open its doors and gives this book a place to prop its feet up and take a load off. We'll allow a visit to the cobbler to resole the shoes that this book has been wearing for such a long time and hope that it will get the chance to wear out the soles once more while traveling around collecting journal entries from the many bookcrossers that are still anxious to read this book.
It is hoped that one day soon this book will get a new journal entry and will get the chance to resume the bookray journey that it once set out on.
