Pretty horrific story but the psychological research is certainly interesting. I leaves more questions than it answers about kidnappers and their victims and the relationship that forms. survival is the key to all this and we must never forget that the girl was only 10 years old when she was kidnapped.

I found this book very frustrating because it was a story with little closure. I also found it long, and so much of the information was repeated, to the point where even qotes were repeated word for word, sometimes within a few pages.

I could go on more about specific things that frustrated me, but in the interests of not adding spoilers, I will not. I ended up Googling to get some answers though. She has now written her own book with more (horrific) detail, but I don't think I will be reading it. I really feel for her, but the way this book was written has put me off.

I recieved this book from my friend as she knows I like true stories. Not made up rubbish. I got alittle lost at times but got the idea. Poor girl wish her all the best. Abit annoyed she in the end told what she wanted us to know but not all what went on.
