Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 2)
9 journalers for this copy...
In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there's a deadly turf war raging between vampires and their slayers. There exists a secret band of brothers like no other - six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Possessed by a deadly beast, Rhage is the most dangerous of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
Mary and Rhage are strong characters and they both have really bad problems to handle. I read with fear, bated breath and could hardly find a halt.
Throughout the whole story I asked me: “How can that come to a good end?” When it than finally happened I felt really astonished about the easy way out as well as the reason why. The lessers are pretty weak opponents in this series. But this is not a major complain and doesn’t spoil the book. Nice, the story of the next couple started already.

The book is on its way. I wish a nice yourney.
For all participants a lot of fun and a good time.
Arrived in time for the weekend. :o)
Thank you again for sharing the book, LadyAmalie!
2010-06-21: Finished! Whow, that was a page turner. Well, sometimes I'm just in the mood for a bloody romance. I liked this book better than the first, the Lesser paragraphs were ...lesser... and I just skimmed them. As they are basically zombies there's no character development there, just daddy issues and their scheme is always the same - grab some civ vamp, tohrture them, get their ass kicked by brothers on rehvenge. No, I cannot get used to those names, they are just too ridiculous. If it would have some continuity, say in Behlla :o))) or so, but they look as if they were missed by the spellchecker . Oh, my. Tehrror!
But Mary and R. were characters I liked and the love story was nice and hot (didn't expect less). The happy end was rushed. That deus-ex-machina was lame. Maybe the author just could have left it as is and come up with some closure in the next book. That couple already met. Good. I'm looking forward to that one because I like the ugly duckling. ;o)
One question nags me - maybe it will be tackled in another book: How do female vamps feed? On thin air? Or are the fangs only for decoration? hmmm...
(******** 8 Stars from me, listed here as that damn BC 2.0 isn't capable of displaying it anymore)

Oh my...
I've just finished reading the book and I'm so glad about the ending! I was really down some pages before the actual ending about what seemed to be about to happen... But now everything's fine :-)
Mary & Rhage are just adorable
I'm so glad you started this series as RAYs, LadyAmalie. Thanks a lot! :-)

On its way to penelopewanders now.
She told me that she's on holiday until early August, but the post office will hold her mail. So there should be no problem.

This was waiting when I returned from holiday with a few other rings and rays. I'll try to read the quickest ones first. Thanks so much for making this available - I look forward to continuing the series.

Enjoyed this even better than the first, although I do shy a bit from the violent scenes... I agree with Nachtgeier about the less of the lessers the better, although I suppose they're a necessary evil?
I'll try to get this sent before going away at the end of the week.

Arrived here safely today. Thanks for sending and the card penelopewanders! Can't wait to read it :) (though I do have a couple of bookrings/rays before this one). Thanks again for sharing LadyAmalie!
I actually finished reading this last weekend, it was quite a page-turner.. kept me up a couple of nights, because I couldn't put it down :p And I think I like this one even better than the last, Rhage and Mary are a cute couple :) (I'm glad the ending wasn't too sad). And it is also nice to get to know a bit more about the rest of the brothers, already looking forward to the next one.
I PMed trisousa a couple days ago but haven't received a reply yet, so I just sent another one.. will try to get this mailed on soon.
Edit 24 Sept.: trisousa asked to be skipped, so PMed Esme-Weatherwax.
Update 16 Okt.: Holding on to the book a bit longer as Esme-Weatherwax hasn't read the first book yet..
Update 27 Nov.: Dark Lover has arrived at Esme's, this one will probably be mailed after Christmas :)

Happy reading!
Happy reading!
Got it along with book 3. I have a few rings in front of it but will get it read and sent out in feb.
At first I liked book one better, but in the end I liked this book better then book one. I liked Rhage's and Mary's story better. I enjoyed the fact that Mary is such a strong character. I also enjoyed meeting John and Bella and learning more about the brothers. I also enjoyed the fact that she started the story for book 3 off in this book. You see how Z and Bella meet in this book. The only thing I liked better in book one is that Butch had more of a role in that book. I do wish there was more fighting in the book. I am not going to lie I am not really into these type of books normally but I am enjoying these so far.

fully enjoyed this one, thankfully there was no slow start this time, and there was a lot of heartfelt bits that I really enjoyed, and bits that leaves you questioning...
I totally loved the bit where Mary ran out at Rhage, it was such a great bit of the story. I also loved (for some reason) the bit with the Scribe Virgin's Chosen, as it was interesting how it panned out, and I also loved what Mary said to her as she left.
I'm still really interested in John Matthew, is he who I think he is? Is he to do with the ending of the first book, and is his dreams linked in with the bits of his old life? We'll just have to wait to find out.
I hope I haven't given too much away, but I cannot wait to read the next book!
I will send this out to the next person when I have completed the 3rd book, as it would cost me more money to send books out to the same person at different times, might as well bundle 2nd and 3rd book together and send them out that way.
Thank you LadyAmalie for including me in this spiral, this is definitely a series I am excited about :)

I love these books!! First Wrath's story- very enjoyable, then Rhages story, loved it even more, and I've already started the next, Zsadist's story. I can tell already that I'm going to hate to see this series end. Thanks so much for sharing these awesome books! I'm the last person, so I'm going to lend them to my sister for the time being. Let me know if they are to be sent anywhere else. Many thanks!!
