got this rabck today....looks interesting. And have a likely (non-bookcrossing though) recipient in mind when I'm done.
rabck from twinkpuddin; dragged in the beginning with the isobars and charts, but certainly picked up velocity when the hurricane hit. Reading this 117 years later, forecasting certainly has gotten better but we're still building on the barrier islands and still gambling that a storm won't wipe it all away.

Arrived safely in NJ today during a rain storm. ;) Thank you so much, NancyNova, for sending me this wishlist book! I really enjoy Erik Larson's books. I promise to have this read, JE'd and moving quickly.
I was surprised that I struggled with this one. Factually correct but read like a history book. After checking out the publishing date, it's one of his early works. Guessing that that's why I struggled to read this book. I have read several of his books and loved them. His story usually pulls you in, characters relatable. So if this is your first experience with the author, pick up another title and I think you will enjoy it more.
