Two novels written in the ninteenth century by an English woman.

These two books were written approximately twenty years apart. The second book was published in 1859. The first book was written when the author was quite young. The success of the second book caused the first book written to be published. Both books were influenced by the writing of Jane Austen, and as such, there were amusing and enjoyable to read. The second book, "The Semi-Attached House" was marred by antisemitism that was revealed in the description of two Jewish characters that were quite negatively portrayed.
Note: The puppy enjoyed this paperback book, and the front and back covers have been chewed, although the pages itself are still readable.

This book was left in the Little Free Library. It was released for the June Brides 2023 release challenge.
