Ok. I have the journal and I promise I will try my hardest to fill out and mail along by Friday. If not I will complete and mail upon my return from two weeks in Alaska.
I really want to go to Castle Island in Boston to do this entry and that means it needs to stop raining. :)
I really want to go to Castle Island in Boston to do this entry and that means it needs to stop raining. :)
This is finally ready to be mailed, between rain, vacation adn writers block, I was having trouble. Sorry I held it this long. I should get this to a post office with in the next 2 days.
I got the journal today! What to write? What to write? I hope to send it on its way in a couple of weeks.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Ok, I'm a horrible BookCrosser! I still have this journal sitting here, taunting me. I now have HikingReader's mailing address, and my goal is to finish my entries and then mail this on to HikingReader no later than 10/01/03. No matter what, I'll get this passed along. So sorry for the delay. :(
Yay! I mailed this today priority mail (it was just a few cents more than media since the journal is so big) to HikingReader, so I hope it lands in her hands by the weekend.
Good luck to everyone trying to read my handwriting. I'm so accustomed to keyboarding everything that I can't write legibly anymore! Thanks for starting this gawdess. Although I had major writer's phobia once I sat down with it, it was fun to figure out what I wanted to include. :)

Good job mellion108! It came quickly and I am very impressed with the discipline of the Bookcrossers ahead of me. This book is beautiful, but DAUNTING to say the least. I will try to jump right in and write a little, just so I don't get intimidated by the thick blank pages....wish me luck!
I have finished my entry and I will post in the mail as soon as I get aaratnayake's address. THANKS!
Received it today and how funny that it came right when we got our first real snow. will read the entries and then write my own. have to print up some pictures of MN.
I recieved this today! this is going to be a great book. I loved all the little pictures to go along with the state stories and little tidbits thrown in! Thanks for letting me do this. I will think about it and try to get to it one of these days! BTW The book has broken loose from the binding, but I will not try to fix it as I know that you can damage a book more if you dont do it with the right stuff :+) Hopefully, a librarian or someone who knows how to work with books will be on this ring. I will journal again when I get this finished!
Found this on my front porch. I forgot all about it. This is too cool! I flipped thru it, and so some wonderful stuff, BCers are a creative bunch. The spine it broke, hopefully some one on the list can fix it properly. I will work on it and then get it on it's way again.
I am SOOOOOO sorry, I still have this. I was hoping that we would go and visit one of the places and get pics, like was requested, but that will not be happening soon, so I will pm the next person and get this off.
this was just returned to me today. Looks like Witty Jean has had some personal things going on, and I guess moved while this book was in transit. the new residents must of had the package a long time before deciding to return it. {oh well} Waiting for a reply back, and will send it this weekend.
{I had to pay to get the book back!}
{I had to pay to get the book back!}
No reply from WittyJean. Pmed bossmare, and will mail it out as soon as I get her address.
Got in the mail today. Looks great! Will check out and send on as quick as possible.
I've been having great fun with this, sorry to have hung on to it for so long. We are attempting a repair to the book to unite the pages with the cover. It's now glued and at rest smashed into my bookcase to set the glue and hope it holds. At least it may stay together for a little while longer. The pages were completely out of the cover! It must have been dropped numerous times or tossed about by the post office to come to such a state. Poor journal! Anyway, I will let it be snugged until Saturday morning and then send it on to the next journaler!!!!
Alsomomma bowed out and london66 never answered so it's on to sweetsangria. I'll PM and see if she wants to be next.
Sweetsangria answered so it will be on it's way to her this Saturday or sooner.

12/24/05 This book arrived today. I have already read all of the entries in the book and look forward to writing up mine. I had given up on ever receiving this one but I'm glad that it arrived. I'll be able to write in it and get it off in the mail within a week as I'm home sick with the flu.
Okay, please forgive me. I took way longer with this than I intended to and I am sorry. I will get this in the mail on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. I swear! I departed from the trend of writing about the area I live in. I just wrote about what I felt like. I didn't see any specific guidelines. Thanks for starting this on it's way Gawdess.
I sent a PM to snowpepsi24 on the 21st and again on the 26th. If I don't hear from her by the end of the month, I'll go to the next person on the list.

I have PMd the next person on the ring three times and gotten no answer, so I'm skipping over her and going to the next person. I'm so sorry for this delay. I'll get this out as soon as I can.
Okay, I FINALLY mailed this journal off to 16stepper today at lunch time. So sorry that it took me so long to get it moving again.
It's here, it's here! I am so excited to look through it and to do my own work in it!
I've scribbled in this journal and am digging out some pictures I took while 4 wheeling in the Bradshaw Mountains to stick in for the next readers. Am PM'ing the next person to keep it moving.
Mailed to the next person on the ray on 5/30. Sorry for the late entry. Bookcrossing was not working for me for several days.
Almost three years ago I signed up for this ring. After a year or two, you almost give up on ever seeing the book. Well, don't give up hope....Journal Acrossed America arrived today! I immediately started reading. I've already read Maine, Boston, and I'm in the middle of Michigan. What wonderful writers BookCrossers are!
More later....
More later....
I know, I know...I'm an overachiever. I read all the journal entries, prettied up the cover repair, added a US map and US songs CD, wrote my journal entry, PMed Texaswren, packed up the journal, and mailed it off to Texaswren. In one day.

And now I have it! What a journey this book has taken in the last 3 years!
I will try to find something interesting to add and pass it along. I may actually hold onto it until the end of the month. My granddaughter is coming to visit from the East coast, and if it isn't too hot, we want to do some cool Texas things. Then, I'll have something good to add. It will have to be pretty spectacular to beat DebNance's entry!
If you'd rather I passed it on more quickly, let me know, and I'll just do local things.

I'm excited to finally get this journal. I must have signed up for it quite a while ago because I'm down for Louisiana and now I live in S.C. But that's okay. I lived much longer in Cajun country than here, so I'll do my best.
I'm looking forward to reading everyone else's entry and getting to know some of you beyond the screen names.

I know I've had this for awhile so I'm doing my best to get it moving again! Thanks!
Ok, I know. I took a long time! I finally got motivated to do my part, so Louisiana is accounted for. On to the next journaler.
yvi-1 has opted out. I'm trying casual reader next.
