A team of volunteers from the executive ranks of a US corporation headed by Ross Perot, hand-picked and trained by a retired Green Beret officer, are sent to penetrate a heavily-guarded prison fortress in Iran, and free two imprisoned American hostages. Set against the backdrop of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, this is a riveting real-life adventure that proves heroes still exist.
I offered this as an RABCK in the forums, and booklady331 in Florida accepted the offer. Enjoy!
Thank you for the book. I enjoy reading Ken Follett.
My husband finished this book and really enjoyed it. It is staying on my TBR pile so I can read it one day.
I finally picked it up to read. Sorry it has taken me so long. I love the depth of research Ken Follett does.
This nonfiction book was easy to read. I am impressed by Ross Perot and the men who volunteered to help with the rescue. Mr. Perot used his own wealth and business to rescue the two men arrested in Iran. He was a true leader. The men risked their own lives for two of their own. This is a story that more people should know about.
