A favourite of mine - this book kept me absolutely captivated from the first page - amazing! The story is of Ayla, an orphaned girl who is adopted into the Clan, a paople like and yet unlike her own. The descriptions of Ice Age life are fascinating and the characters very real and easy to love. And I can't resist a book that makes me cry!

Wow! I can't believe this arrived today - what an odd coincidence! My husband came home yesterday with a copy of this book for me. He knew how much I wanted it, and wasn't aware that I'd signed up for a bookray... so he decided to surprise me. I'll keep my copy to read, and I'll keep this one travelling. :)
