Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor

Published in 1996, this book fits in the pattern of the Jane Austin mysteries. At the librarian's suggestion my husband brought this book home for me to read, since I wanted a good mystery story. At first I was a tad disappointed, since I wanted something a bit more contemporary, but after getting familiar with the old English terms, I found it to be both a challenge and refreshing undertaking and completed the book in one week.
I have a hectic life and wanted to read something to take me away from it through the summer months. This is my vacation! This book did that and more.
Of course, I love "Sense and Sensibility", "Emma" and anything having to deal with old England, so this book while along those lines, has a very interesting and fun way of following Jane in her supersleuth path. It's a great book to escape our crass and uncultured environment. :) I live with teens who do not know the word manners! I have tried to teach them, but they are so far away from this type of civility portrayed in this delightful book.
I will purchase the book and leave a copy somewhere, but I also plan on telling my librarian to list Bookcrossing in major links, since she suggested the book in the beginning.
