Shortly after the book begins you are told a number of things that can be done in nineteen minutes, the last of which is "you can get revenge".
You are impelled to consider the damage that can be done to others by words and deeds. Ever since I read the book, I have been thinking about Margie and wondering how she managed to smile through all the teasing and comments back in high school in the 1960s. I wonder if she has gotten over the unkindness of her classmates, including my participation. I am sincerely sorry.
