This copy has been donated to Bookcrossing by the author RJ Ellory. He talked about this as one of his favourite books at the Valentine's Bookdating event held by Birmingham (UK) Bookcrossers on 14th February 2010.
As one of his recommendations, I took this to read. Whilst it did not make my "best ever" book list, I enjoyed it very much. Difficult, in the 21st century, to see how it was so contraversial when it was published. Was it because it represented the first in a new genre? Or was it the factual inaccuracies which I believe are there? I shall have to do some reading (and viewing) around.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I was very impressed with this book. It could have been very exploitative but by and large I don't think it was as the description of the murders isn't particularly gruesome considering. A fascinating study.
