What a surprise to get a lovely box of bookcrossing related items. Kingsolver is one of my favorite authors and this is one I haven't read. Thank you Shemchin.
This book is a departure from the usual for Kingsolver. Unlike books that I have read already, this is not a fictional story.It is a memoir of her families life when they moved to a farm and began to change their way of eating. Growing most of their food and trying to avoid things that are not in season and have to be shipped in,they offer some interesting advice for healthier living.
There are quite a few good recipes included as well.

I will put the book on the reserved list. I haven't read it all, from front to back, only dipped into it here and there. It is rather like a favorite recipe book which I want to keep on hand.
