Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl (Nancy Chan Novels)

I got so many new books for christmas that I have to get rid of some for the new ones to fit on the bookshelf. I held onto this one for a long as possible but it just has to go! No matter how heartwrenching it is. Will read this again before moving it on.
Enjoyed re-reading this book as I read it so long ago I'd pretty much forgotten everything. Interesting book about Nancy, a call girl who wanted to be hooker from a very young age. She wasn't forced into it. Although she doesn't say it in so many words. I think she just liked the money. The only thing I don't get about her is why she ran away from home. She was turning tricks in her hometown. And she makes no mention of her parents being nasty or anything. I have no idea how she manages to keep her boyfriend and her work seprate. I feel bad for him becuase he's a nice guy. I don't really think you should mix the two unless you tell the truth to the boyfriend. It's not fair on him. He's going to be gutted if he ever finds out. I would have cut Allison out of my life as soon as she started seeing Jack. She was way to much trouble tho we never get to find out what happens with that in the end. But maybe it's mentioned in the next book which I'm just about to start.

Granting wishes and keeping them moving :) Sent surface mail.
Apologies I didn't leave a JE for this. It is currently in the top 10 of my TBR pile so should be moving along soon.
I enjoyed this trashy story. It was a nice 'out' from my usual choice of novel. There isn't much else I can say about it really. I'm not spurred on by it enough to seek out the other books in the series - although it they happened to land in my hands I would undoubtedly read them.
For anyone who really does enjoy this book - I would recommend The Scorpion's Sweet Venom
I tagged Collin26 with this book a month or so ago in one of the Wishlist Tag Games. Having finally gotten around to reading it last week, its now off on its travels.
The book has arrived safely, together with an Australian Afternoon Tea! Thank you!
Done reading this novel. It was very enjoyable to read and although it definitely contains for-adult-only scenes, I still regard it as a great read. I love how Nancy deals with other characters, and hated Allison for being so timid. I don't know what trashy means, but I definitely enjoyed this one.
