Bought this at the Katonah Library booksale a few years back. I started reading it last night, it didn't really strike me as anything incredible. It's an older book... there's a dedication "with love to Mummy from Evie 1969." I don't know who Mummy or Evie are, but I love finding books with things like that written inside because it gives a little more history to the book, even if you don't know who they are.

On the first bench on the Silver Spring Trail

Journal Entry 3 by ylin625 from Havertown, Pennsylvania USA on Monday, September 1, 2003
I found the book in the Cape May Migratory Bird Refuge on Friday, 8/22/03. I had walked down from Cape May and entered the Bird Refuge from the beach. I had recently lost a very close friend to cancer and had walked by a bench in the refugre that had a plaque on it commemorating a boy who died at 17 in 1966. The bench looked out over a pond with geese and ducks on it and the swamp mallow (which looks like Rose of Sharon) was in bloom. I remember thinking that I hoped that wherever he was now was just as beautiful as the spot that his family chose to have this memorial for him.
I kept walking and found the book on the other side of the Bird Refuge on an observation platform. I was pretty emotional at the time, thinking about the young man who had died and also my friend who had passed on recently when I found the book.
I intend to read it (or at least browse it) and then release it. I'm not sure where.
