Shattered Silence: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer's Daughter
1 journaler for this copy...
Shattered Silence is a very interesting biography that keeps the reader interested and engaged, but lacks decent transitions from time period to time period. Moore occasionally says things like "things stayed the same", but frequently doesn't say anything at all about the time she has skipped over to talk about the main events in her life that have formed her into the women she is today. Which is fine, except it can leave a reader to wonder mid-chapter how old she was when "such and such" an instance was occuring.
Aside from that, like I stated previously, the biography is breathtaking and inspirational. A reader can tell from her writing that this book was theraputic for her to write and that she has grown from her experiences. I say it's worth any readers time to check this book out for themselves, and to see that we don't always have to fall into the same mold that our parents have set into or have made for us. We are free to become whatever we wish.
