A Cat Called Norton

Full description for A Cat Called Norton
Peter was a confirmed loner and cat hater, until he was given a small, grey (and impeccably handsome) kitten with folded ears by his then girlfriend. The girlfriend went but Norton stayed - in fact, he and Peter became inseparable. Trotting along beside him down the street, having his own chair in restaurants or sitting on Peter's lap on plane journeys, Norton made his presence felt and Peter was a loner no more. But, after learning how to love his cat, would Peter now learn how to love another human too?
I loved this book! Just loved it!
I'm a dog-person and I loved a cat book!
If I ever get a cat I wish it will be a Scottish Fold and s/he'll be called Colin. Whether it's a boy or a girl. After Mr.Colin Firth.

Norton has arrived, and I'm looking forward to get to know him!
A great, heartwarming story! I am definitely a cat-person, and I just loved Norton!
My own cat is not nearly as clever as Norton; more like the one Norton had his only serious conflict with. I really fell for Norton's charm, and I think the story is brilliantly told. Several times I burst out laughing while reading the book, and I was not a single time embarrassed for this, because the book was just so great!
The book will continue its travel after Christmas, so it will not get lost in the X-mas craze in the post office...

I really enjoyed this book! Now Norton travels to the next participant. Enjoy the book :)
It just arrived on my doorstep (figuratively speaking) and I'm longing to start reading it!
What a wonderful book! I just love it. And the cat is so cute. While I was reading it I kept wishing I could get one. But I can't. That's life!
Thanks for sharing.
Now i'm sending it on to Deepswamp. Enjoy!
Arrived safe! Looking forward!
Wonderful!
I have lived with Norton a day and half the night! He got a place in my heart!
My cats will follow me on walks, but only near home, but I´m still happy about the company!
Thanks for letting me know Norton!

Here comes Norton!
A warm welcome to Norton who arrived safely yesterday! I look forward to reading about this fella.
Thanks for sharing this lovely book. I love it when so-called cat-haters are won over to the world of cat-lovers! The parts about the author's father were really touching. Norton seems to be a special guy, but aren't they all?

Received this today. Thank you for sending it on Panzeranzi and to Sobergirl for starting the ring.
The card and bookmark are gorgeous, are they doing the ring round too, or is this from Panzeranzi?
Look forward to reading this soon.
The bookmark came with the book. I found the card in a bookstore the same day I finished the book - you decide if you want to keep it, sarahmuh, or if it's to go with the book on its' journey,

I really enjoyed this book, it was a lot of fun, although the last chapter had me fighting a large lump in my throat. The only thing I didn't like so much about the book are the frequent references to American personalities and TV shows I had never heard of, so therefore I missed the point he was making. Otherwise a great story, and the part about the guy who suddenly decides he is allergic to Norton once he realises there is a cat in front of him on the plane had me laughing hard.
As much as I love my own two cats, I could never imagine taking them to restaurants, or calmly enjoying a plane ride. Cool fellow that Norton must have been.
I now realise I didn't contact Vekiki for an address, so will do that now and promise not to hold the ring up for much longer!
Thank you for Sobergirl for sharing such a great book, and to Panzeranzi for sending it on and offering me the postcard. However it should go back with the book to Sobergirl - it's so appropriate!
But could I hold on to that fabulous Norwegian Forest cat please....?
Thanks again!

Posted off to the next person
Arrived some time last week but the lock on my parcel box broke so I coulnd't get into it! Should start this later in the week and I don't think I'll be long in reading it :-)
Thanks to Vekiki for sending on to me and Sobergirl for organising the ring.
What a fantastic book! I don't think I stopped smiling all the way through (apart from the last chapter, which made me cry!) Norton shows how intelligent, amusing and thoughtful cats can be (even though my two skip the 'intelligent' part more often than not!)
I loved the way that so many people didn't even bat an eyelid seeing Norton on flights or eating at restaurants or checking into hotels... don't think I'll try it with Toffee and Pepsi, though... :-)
Only one little criticism - no photos! Why were there no pictures of Norton being cute or brave or purry? The book still deserves 10 out of 10, though!
I'll get Platypussj's address and post on immediately. Thank you so much, Sobergirl, for sharing this really lovely book.
Posted to Platypussj today. safe journey little cat :-)
Arrived this morning. This book has sped round the ring, I'll do my best to keep the pace up - I'm reading one bookring now and another is waiting before Norton, but as it seems that he's the kind of book that's read quickly I might just squeeze him in next.
I think I'll read it to Morgan, my own furry friend, perhaps it will help...
Absolutely adorable, I loved this book and am very pleased to find out there are 2 more Norton books. Thank you Sobergirl, this is definitely on of those books that lights up corners in lives - just like Norton himself. :)

I liked this story a lot. I loved the cat, but to be totally honest, I didn't much like his owner. It's always amazing to read about animals who are such great friends to us human beings and how wise they actually are.
Thank you for this reading experience, Sobergirl. The book will return to you soon. :)
