Optional: A request to all the members. Just to mark the book with all the places it has been to, could you please stick a stamp of the smallest denomination on your country in the front inside cover? That would be awesome. Thanks again!

A great read...a story of a man who has failed in life... and who finds out all his failures have been due to the mischief of his own guardian angel. Hilarious and witty dialogs and cool b/w art...a must read for graphic novel lovers.

Ecuas will be very happy to read this journal entry! He was very worried about the book, but at long last it is here in South Africa! (Not to mention: I am very happy too!)
I just finished a book last night, so I will start this one immediately. So I might even be able to send it on its way tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks so much for sharing, Ecuas!

sorry for the low rating, but it looks like graphic novels are not my thing, or maybe the storyline didn't interest me as much as I thought it might, I hope that any more graphic novels I get I will enjoy, I just feel bad that this book didn't do much for me! Will send off to next person in line soon!

Received in a rather battered package, looking forward to reading it soon. Relly like the stamp idea in the front!

I did quite enjoy this very surreal graphic novel. I thought that all the panels were incredibly well thought out especially that little bit extra in the background which made me chuckle. The reason it doesn't get 10/10 though is that I found some bits a tad disjointed and quite hard to read. Loved the Tshirts and pop-culture references too.
I've added my stamp to the front thank you for sharing!

Whoops forgot to add thoughts! Well, I really very much enjoyed this GN. On the whole it was refreshingly different, I enjoyed the fact that I wouldn't have picked this off the shelf to read. And it's genuinely chuckle-out-loud funny in parts - mostly because of the little details the artist sneaks into the background and the pop-culture references :) A little cruder in other parts but the sheer farce and climactic disastrous luck of the protagonist, the satirical jab at the shallow entertainment industry and how fantastic the art is, are what make this a memorable read.
Thank you ecuas! Will send this on this week.

The book arrived today - much to my surprise. I tend to forget. I'll start reading it tonight.
A fun and witty book! I especially like Stavros, the guardian (?) angel.
Sorry about this, seems with all the hazzle about the new site I completely forgot to make a JE when this book arrived.
Now it has been read, have to confess this is not my prefered style of comic, but managed to get through it anyway. It has its comic moments, lots of things happening, and I'm sure lots of people like the style.
Now off to try to figure who gets it next...

This bookring is continuing to travel tonight already, going all the way over the ocean to the USA.
Hope it won't take forever, as mail is slow these days.

Book has arrived!! It's a bit different from my usual style of graphic novels but I look forward to reading it, after I finish the book I'm reading now. I love all the stamps in the inside cover. Now I have to find a good one to put in.
Also, thanks Hippolein for the cute Moomin postcard!!

Hmm... I am not sure how to rate this. The graphic is nicely done with smooth flow from panel to panel, the concept is quite interesting, the ever-changing T Shirt design is genius.
However... it's just not my style of graphic and story. In fact, as I don't find any of the characters likable, I have to read the book in short bursts before it gets obnoxious.
Regardless, I really appreciate ecaus sharing this book, so I can be exposed to different forms of graphic novels, beyond the superheroes and Asian manga.
I will mail this on to the next reader when I get the address. Thanks again for the opportunity to read this book.
ETA 7/18/10: This will be mailed to the next reader next week via surface mail.
