I do love Anita Shreve's style, so I was happy to bring this one home from Waterloo last night. I went along to a London Bookcrossers get-together, only to discover I had muddled my dates and should've been sat in a pub in Chelmsford. Sigh.

At least I had Anita to console me on my long journey home...
