My sister got this book for me at some thrift store somewhere since she "knows" I like women's fiction. Well anyway, this be an good ole fashioned country story. It was published in 1963, but has the appearance of being much older. About an orphan and her hardships in life and love. You will get a kick out of the authors picture. As the back flyleaf says the author has written for ladies home journal and redbook, (but in the fifties and sixties.) So its a bit old fashioned all around, but hey it is readable! Actually on the back cover it is compared with Jane Eyre...
