I know this is a kids book but the cover appealed to me and it was really cheap. Plus Leonards books are on the 1001 list so its got to be good right?
Will read and release at some point soon.

Read this cool kids story in a day. the story follows the adventures of antwan the coyote, his sister Ramona and a group of homeys, i.e tame dogs who live with humans. Buddy is a tired old stunt dog who lives in the hollywood hills with the show poodle miss betty. Antwan accidentally meets the two while raiding their trash cans and an unlikely adventure begins as Antwan tries to join the family as a domestic pet.

Very good story, not childish at all! Available to a good home on request but since this is a hardback book I will only send it on in exchange for a trade due to expense of postage.

Thank you for the book. Coyotes are cool. :)

The story was well-written and funny, although I didn't like the way coyotes thought of cats. (I adore cats, not persians so much maybe, but other cats even more.)

I could see this as a movie, not as a computer animation but an old-fashioned drawn animation.

I am just reading this book on my holidays in the UK. I like it a lot and have to find out if it was translated into German, so I can give it to a dogobsessed friend of mine.
I will proberly release it in Carlise or in Manchester the next days :-)

Released 9 yrs ago (9/18/2014 UTC) at The Ape and Apple- Pub in Manchester, Greater Manchester United Kingdom

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

My plan was to release a book at the pub where the Manchastercrowd has their meetups. But I couldn't remember the name. I just remembered that it was a pub at a square with a male name. So I thought it could have been St. James Square. But that wasn't really a square and there wasn't really a pub, so I went into this pub, had a nice pint of bitter a saw their bookshelfs.
So this book was released there. Later on I found out that I wasn't that far away from the pub I was acually looking for ;-)

I was looking for book-crossing zones or places where books have been left and saw this had been left at the Ape and Apple Pub. I've been there before but hadn't noticed any books. So, upon finding "A Coyote's in the House" under Go-Hunting and it's extensive journey to four countries! I thought I would pick it up and send it across the "pond". I'm travelling to Florida, America next week and shall leave it at a restaurant or theme park.

I really enjoyed this book, more than I expected to. I was expecting it to be very basic and child-like but was pleasantly surprised to find it witty and clever. I love ( and had a chuckle ) over how Elmore portrayed humans and human relationships through the coyote's eyes, all being accurate. The wording at first was slightly baffling but thinking it was supposed to be read with an accent it became funny and exciting to read. I thought it was brilliant how Antwan could smell when someone was lying, it seems symbolic...perhaps that are actions and words truly do give off an odour depending on our ethical intentions. Also, I love how Antwan and Buddy have studied humans and know when they are being sincere and genuine with each other, their habits like the mother drinking, and the father's selfishness. The wildness and tameness of the dogs and the coyotes seems to reflect our inner self... Either longing to be wild and free or live in comfort and safety. Overall a fantastic book.

I found this book in Animal Kingdom, probably within a few minutes of it being released. What luck, I'm a big reader.

I thought this book was really good - parts of it were funny. It's not a book I would have taken out of the library myself. But I'm a glad to have read it.

I am waiting to release this book - not sure where to do it. I'm new to this so still thinking.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

The book in in the wild! I was not sure where to leave it. Then I saw a painting in the Alex Colville exhibit that is of a coyote. Perfect! I left in on the bench nearby. Here's hoping it finds a new home soon.

Not what I want to read now but imagine it being a wonderful read for a child. I moved it to a children's display area at the Art Gallery of Ontario in my hope that a child will have that experience.
