A Dortmunder novel. Has nothing to do with the city Dortmund in Germany, as far as I know, but, on the other hand, how did he find the name???? Anyway, the Dortmunder novels are the prototype of comic mysteries.

I couldn't find this book on my virtual bookshelf anymore. If that meant it was not registered, I have my cheeks burning with shame, as it has been in my TBR pile for so long!
Anyway, although the 'cops and robbers' are not quite my cup of tea, and it took a while before the story finally grabbed me, when it did it was outrageously funny. I will look for a fellow bookcrosser appreciative of this cup of tea.
