I read this book a long time ago, from what I recall - I enjoyed it. Alice Munroe is an excellent short story writer.

A book of compelling and disturbing short stories. Took my time reading it. Will release in the wild today 08/07/03.

Caught this one on the train while en route from the City to Newtown. I'd never 'caught' a book before, so I was thrilled by the Bookcrossing concept & told about a trillion friends. It felt like I'd won the lottery!
I had a really hard time with this book, so stopped and started quite a bit. I think Alice Monroe is a wonderful writer, but I was left at the end of each story with a disturbing feeling that closure on any personal issue is elusive at best, and unachievable at worst! Will release today.
