The Restraint of Beasts

Trade paperback edition.
Copied from goodreads.com:
The novel starts with a phone call, "Mr McCrindle's fence has gone slack", and sees the three main characters duly dispatched to the scene of Tam and Richie's previous job, which they have left in a hurry. The ensuing Kafkaesque incidents set the tone for the rest of the novel, where Tam, Richie, and the narrator find themselves 'sent off' to England in work-related 'exile'.
I don't remember where I got this book. Quite possibly a flea market find :-)

This is a really weird story :-) Well written and quite intriguing, I liked it a lot. I want to read more by this author.

I brought this book with me from the BookCrossing meetup, it seemed quite strange to me, and somehow I was drawn to it. Have not read it yet. After me the book is reserved for a fellow BookCrosser.
