I was given this for holiday reading by my brother- and sister-in-law in Plymouth as they and various of their friends had enjoyed it on their holidays.
I've only read one Wilbur Smith before and can't remember much about it, except that I think it was fairly entertaining at the time but had a surprising amount of sex for a novel recommended to me by a vicar! I enjoy historical adventures so I'm quite happy to give this one a go :-)
